    Microsoft builds Aussie base for tech space race.

    "Microsoft will build a couple of satellite ground stations in Australia as part of its move into a space industry expected to be worth more than $1.3 trillion in coming decades."

    The fact that MS will invest this much in building satellite ground stations in Australia is a testament to the fact that moving large amounts of data over satellite is a real issue.
