Hey Pisces,
I was going to say, the Cisco collaboration didn't just appear out of thin air.
Then thought I'd check out Innovation Central Perth. Sometimes these things take a while to reveal themselves:
https://icentralau.com.au/Perth/about-us/who-we-are/
Some snippets:
Led by partners, Cisco and Curtin University, the centre develops technology to solve real business problems through a collaborative community of student talent and professional expertise in electronic, communications, network and software engineering, computer and data science.
Global Network:
We are part of a global innovation network that helps to find digitally innovative solutions to real business problems. ICP is one of 12 global Co-innovation Centres and Cisco Innovation Labs.
Bold Thinking:
At ICP we are confident in disrupting the industry to ensure we co-create digitally innovative solutions. We support and practice original and inventive solution development.
And so to the Nodestream Downloadable Decoder App. From the January announcement which is worth reading again in its entirety:
https://canarycapital.com.au/harvest-technology-group-releases-the-infinity-nodestream-downloadable-decoder-application/
Some snippets:
The Infinity Nodestream Downloadable Decoder Application (Application) is a software application that uses embedded software to offer existing and new clients the opportunity to decode and deliver high-quality, secure encrypted video and audio over ultra-low bandwidth satellite point-to-point communications from anywhere in the world directly to a user’s desktop or laptop computer, without the need for any additional decoder hardware.
As the Company continues to set the foundation for scalability, this Application represents the foundation for expansion into the US market.
The Application is designed to be embedded within existing infrastructure or can run as a standalone application.
Further expansion of the Application will see decoding directly onto mobile devices later in 2021.
It's a cliché that good things take time.
The thing about clichés is that they are generally founded in truth.
Harvest's collaboration with Cisco is proof of that.
