Rest of board should have grown a backbone and re-cut the deal with LFS to sell HCF ex NZ Cards.
Wouldn't have needed a vote (well < than 50% of assets and profit). LFS would still have gotten majority of synergies so could have paid a lot for a business not generating much NPAT for HUM holders.
Then could have sold NZ cards to highest bidder a year or two down the track.
