The original deal gave HUM holders a c75% premium to NTA (335 vs 192) for a business that was no longer meeting its WACC and was deteriorating.
It then left the company with sufficient cash to pay out its ever more expensive perpetual note AND grow its remaining commercial leasing opps that was meeting its WACC.
