At the SOL investor webcast today, Mr Todd Barlow, MD/CEO of SOL was asked by a retail holder about the effect of the TLS split into InfraCo and so on.

Mr Barlow commented that this would mean Telstra retail shops would 'have to stand on their own two feet' and that TPG had a lower cost base. He viewed the TLS split/demerger (sorry I don't follow TLS) as an 'opportunity for TPG' and, as one might expect, claimed TPG offered superior service.

I have a TPG home broadband connection and so I'm not disputing that last aside from Mr Barlow.
