Yes there tends to be trends in rotating between crops etc dependent upon market conditions.
Sugar cane, bananas now macadamias.
There was a massive shift from dairy to meat production after the Russian spat re milk & prices collapsed.
I'm sure not all the macadamia plantations will be a success & there will inevitably be another rotation in the future.
With regard to RFF they have a lot of knowledge in setting up nut plantations all be it Almonds so I am confident the macadamia assets will be a success.
I would however like to see more diversification away from cattle & macadamias in any future aquisitions.
