I'd sometimes call 'Mr Market' irrational but maybe 'incomprehensible' is preferable.
It likes to look forward but sometimes positive news is quickly dismissed and as you say, a share price declines.
Do we expect REH to have to face intermittent closures of its USA stores, or lockdowns in Victoria/Queensland/Western Australia, in two years' time? These acted as a brake on net profit that nonetheless rose by many times CPI as noted above.
