Only one question though, if you wouldn't buy SDI in your new portfolio of top 20 similar companies (every one of which has superior characteristics) then why on earth do you hold?
I'm sure madam can answer her own questions but I sometimes muse over the generic issue you pose here. Why isn't shareholding sentiment a binary decision? Why, if we don't intend to SELL, shouldn't we buy more. I think it gets down to the fact that investing isn't an exact science.
Maybe the sentiments on offer ought to be BUY, SELL and NOT SURE.
HOLD is a form of insurance because the valuation change for a given stock going forward isn't totally clear and neither is the valuation change for the stock that an investor may choose as the alternative. So we wait for the next report which, hopefully offers data to, more easily, map the companies performance going forward, at which stage, we may then BUY or SELL.
