look im not saying he entered this business with bad intentions, but I personally believe as hedge funds repeatedly got caught out on apt shorts they looked to make it back on zip. the fundies crippled zips sp making it difficult to raise funds without ultra dilution at which point they trapped him with debt e.g bonds. i also believe he pissed off a few ppl in the banking sector. first for any listed company on the asx, is to not anger Macquarie, which is what LD did very early in the game. macq and her goons squeezed the life out of its sp which made it vulnerable to vultures like BOA..... you know BOA the mob that brought down the u.s markets leading many to lose their homes. LD got arrogant, so the funds put a hit on him. 100% true story
