Bell Direct have a news item under CKF today stating that restaurant brands NZ (also listed on the ASX) are also likely to pause their roll out of Taco Bell in Australia (I think they've got the licence for the states that we don't have). I can't find any actual announcement from them regarding this though so I think an analyst has drawn that conclusion themselves based of CKF. This is completely anecdotal but maybe it's similar to the problem Starbucks had in Australia? Meaning that Australians would rather go to a local family owned restaurant for their Mexican food rather than a chain whereas the American attitude is different.
