Definetly a good year for the ALL share price.
Recent investor day was interesting, analysts most interested in the iGaming segment which ALL is now pitching to clients as a one stop shop to clients post NeoGames acquisition. Combined with the core leasing business ticking away this is apparently going to drive a lot of growth over the next few years.
ALL also looking to shed digital games which are not social casino orientated, which is essentially admitting that Plarium and Big Fish (ex the social casino part) purchases haven't panned out like they wanted.
It's another lesson about companies that make big acquisitions outside of their edge. to be fair there have also been other factors like changes to ad targeting which have not helped. Nevertheless, it is good that the company is refocusing on gambling.
Remains to be seen if some kind of write down occurs upon divestment as there is a massive lump of goodwill on the balance sheet from those past acquisitions. Any buyer will know they are a motivated seller. These are the purchases you want to make, not whole company acquisitions from sellers that want fat premiums.
