    What a sensational announcement!

The UK government has turned the corner,

A BEIS (Department for business energy and industrial strategy) spokesperson said

"The government today set out its position on shale gas exploration as Cuadrilla resumed hydraulic fracturing (fracking) operations at its site in Preston New Road, Lancashire.A BEIS spokesperson said:Shale gas could be an important new domestic energy source reducing the level of gas imports while delivering broad economic benefits, including through the creation of well-paid, quality jobs. It could also support our transition to net zero emissions by 2050.We have world-leading regulations that ensure shale gas exploration happens in a safe and environmentally responsible way"

    AJL confirmed,

"Cuadrilla has advised that 4 successful frac stages had been completed by the end of Monday19th August. These were all completed as per design with 30 tonnes of sand injected into theShale in Stage 1 and 50 tonnes of sand in each of stages 2 through 4. There were no breachesof the 0.5 “red light” limit on the micro-seismic Traffic Light System in any of the stages."

Laura Hughes, Projects and Operations Director at Cuadrilla said,

“The UK onshore shale exploration industry as a whole remains excited about the prospect of the BowlandShale formation – estimated by the British Geologic Survey to contain some 1,300 trillion cubic feet ofnatural gas.”

I would encourage all AJL supporters to green thumb and "like" the announcement to get this information to other HC Members!
