I agree with most of what you have said but not necessarily on what the sp will do.
IMO it will depend on size, size matters.
If we have big net pay numbers from the 1000m then I don't think the ASX or for that matter the world could ignore it.

Its easy to forget we are 7km away from Mk1 and still hitting HC's.

Not to mention we have, which must be coming soon, a prospective resource number for out West.
The current sentiment can be turned around IMO, net pay big numbers, we know its movable just need that faarking sample at surface and for SM to piss off with the conservative approach and lay the cards out with a royal flush and things will change quickly IMO.
