"The hole was challenging from the beginning"

I agree with a lot of what you said, but not sure on that. I may be wrong but I distinctly remember Scott saying MK2 was a much easier drill than MK1 at early on - and then saying that the tool failures were 'minor' but a few days later blaming a hole so challenging it was consistently breaking them to a point samples were not possible seems a bit inconsistent at best.

Not to mention pressing on into higher pressure with a higher mud weight, which apparently caused the challenging hole conditions, when high mud weight was apparently a big factor in not gaining a sample at MK1. I'm sure there are reasonable explanations - but they need to be made, and demonstrated to be learned from to maintain the trust of shareholders, IMHO.
