It's common for large multinationals to use strategies like this where they trial new things (whether it be marketing campaigns, technology or products) in smaller markets before committing to larger scale roll outs. I'm sure the powers that be at PepsiCo HQ would know all about this small trial in Australia.
Congrats to the PH2 team for nailing such a high calibre global brand to JV with, now fingers crossed the trial with PepsiCo is a great success.
