Cue has said the Mangahewa Reservoir at Manaia is assessed to have mean oil in place of 58 million barrels..... Oil-in-place is a basic term used by the oil industry to estimate the total amount of oil in the reservoir rock before production has started. Oil that can be recovered from Mangahewa reservoir may normally be 40 – 60% of the original oil in place. Therefore the neighbouring Manaia field were likely to give an upside potential +27 million barrels (100% Interest) to Maari or $2 Bil USD if oil hit above $74 per barrel.
