The methane from wastewater treatment plant's digestors is already collected and used for co-generation in nearly all major plants, typically with internal combustion engines, passing exhaust through a heat exchanger to warm up the sludge. The methane bugs, like many of us at the beach, just love 35 degrees! So Hazer at the Perth CDP will extract, I presume, around 90% of the energy from the methane whereas current recovery would be bit over 30%.
