The cost of the biogas is something that Hazer have not commented on. I have emailed them twice about it, but no reply. The assumption that it will be free is not necessarily correct. Most waste plants run an engine on it to produce power with only a portion flared so it goes into the atmosphere as CO2 rather than methane. There are plans in many places to pump the methane into the gas network as it has value, so why would you just give it away?
