I agree, but HZR would get paid to do that...no need to purchase the liability of a depleted field with the remediation costs. As an example - Santos are CO2 injection in Bayu Undan simply as a tactic to avoid / delay the de-com liabilities.
I think the operators will look a lot more closely once the concept has been proven with the CDP
