With the amount of paper shuffling still going on in Australian hospitals,GC is entitled to a bit of cynicism.
Wouldn't it be great if all the states came together for once and agreed to one nationwide system, in this case, a national health iT system that will save squillions of manhours and allow medical staff to do medical things rather than clerical, speed up the entire hospital system, in the process get rid of waiting lists and when we cross state borders, as we all frequently do these days,our medical records are available on the other side if they are needed....
Unfortuneately this outcome will take forever if it is left to the state beauracrates,my feeling is the commonwealth will take the initiative and pay/pave the way
