China is a subtle player. They'll do anything to dominate & achieve their objectives. I know that thee have an eye on the arctic for resources for many years. Don't be surprise for any other purposes. Here's the big picture that I've been following since last year.
1) China Premier visit to Denmark in 2012
2) China Free trade agreement with Iceland as a port base in 2013
3) Became a member (permanent observer) to the Arctic circle even though China is not part of the Arctic in 2013
4) XueLong Ice braker to the arctic & arctic research centre establishment in 2013
5) China bankers, companies & NFC formal visit to Greenland & Denmark in 2013
6) MOU with Greenland Mineral for Uranium in 2014.
