I do agree with you why would a JV partner wait for oil to recover get in while it's cheap secure good terms, smart right I totally agree, if I was running a giant oil company I would be interested in at least having a meeting once all results are in.

Well most giant oil companies are struggling to survive right now, their share price are in the toilet and they are struggling to survive, going to share holders and explaining they are investing hundreds of millions in a new unconventional play, yeah not going to happen.

Look at BHP apparently these big companies are not run by the brightest people, if they were we wouldn't have all these booms and busts.

Some smart cookie might do a partnership, but if they are a smart cookie that won't be until they are absolutely sure the bottom is in.
