No, I don't expect any speculative stock to be a certainty - hence the price and the name! I followed spec stocks for about 3 years before I started trading and I generally assess the situation for an inordinately long period of time before I take any financial plunge (took me 5 years to design my house). I'm going okay and understand the nature of this end of the market - haven't put much in but have made $9k from $2.5k in about 4 months and I'm pretty happy with that (all specs, of course). I'd put a lot on some if I felt it was worth it but I unfortunately missed out on a couple of IPO's that would have been "the ones".
