I'm ranked 10th nationally and 90th globally and I have 391 stars, have spent $19.50 and a loooot of hours on the game. I found myself actually wanting to spend a bit of money and can say the same for a lot of my friends I got to try the game. You could probably have a decent time playing without spending any money at all (thats good not bad as if you feel like you have to pay to play retention rates will drop) but I feel like a lot of people will cave and spend at least a few dollars every now and then, so with a good retention rate I'm sure this game will do well
