I'm going to disagree based on the revenue charts through the course of the Early Access.

On around 75k installs, spread over 5 months it was doing well on the charts, now when you all of a sudden have say 1 million players come in at once at launch that's almost 13.5 times higher revenue. On top of this the game has been developed to a better state than where it was at the start of Early Access. When you combine this with the high retention rate, social aspect of the game and longevity of play I think it will do very well IMO

Also I get the impression the game has a lot of active players each day. You can even see this to an extent in the game with the Gold Rush groups filling up if you happen to join at the start of a new group of 50.
