I think what me and a few other posters on here are trying to point out isn't that the money isn't fantastic, its that every single person who has shares in ICI would have taken that deal in a heart beat. So implying its such a huge show of confidence for the lucky few to take up the offer isn't really true. Its a 20c share at the moment and will be back there soon. Everyone involved essentially got free money at the expense of every other shareholder.
I'm sure the CEO has big plans and will use the money to push the company into new territory but in my eyes he would have been allot better if he'd decided to look after all shareholders a bit better. I now have a degree of caution around ICI that wasn't there last week.
Anyway its done now. Onwards and upwards, looking forward to some new revenue figures before Christmas.
