This is the first announcement in a very long time that focuses on a specific game, and I for one am pleased to see a market-update that pertains to an actual game.

I agree with @frontline1999 assessment that the game is not imminent. However the door could be open for funds to continue post-launch, if game production is considered ongoing after go-live e.g. versioning.

Per the bmwk.de website:

The development costs for prototypes must be at least €30,000 and can be up to a maximum of €400,000. To be eligible for production funding, the development costs must be at least €100,000. The exact funding rate in this case is calculated on the basis of the development costs.
