There might be connection between the advertising and that - keep in mind when the ranks are lower they probably fluctuate more and when you get higher they smooth out (because it gets harder to move up the ranks). It's very possible they do indicate things like advertising though. This is showing from January 2021 - so it doesn't actually show Masks' first month.
