Well the bar from where it gapped above opened at 16.5c, traded a high of 17c, and closed at the low of 15.5c. I would call trading through 16.5c a gap closed because it didn't just trade trough the wick, but the candle price. I know come people want it to touch a pip above close price or sometimes even close price, but technically I would call the gap closed. Perhaps others have another opinion or more understanding about gaps and could add.
