IOOF sold less than 75% of their stake. If they were selling because they’re sure AEF is a dud of one sort or another, they wouldn’t keep 25% of their stake. Are they retaining 25% as a hedge? There are surely better ways to hedge. I don’t think this says much about the value of AEF; more about IOOF wanting cash.
