It looks like the delay to making a determination on the CC offer has flushed out today’s matching offer from Bain. Just like me and @The Flying Sock above, Bain probably also concluded that the longer Insignia took to reject CC (longer than it took for their original rejection of Bain) then the greater the chance Insignia was readying to accept $4.30.
Today’s announcement of a revised Bain bid should at least move the stock up to the offer price. This company is definitely in play now and $4.30 is the base case.
