KKR's holding in PPM is via their credit arm, not their PE business.
Several journos linked PPM to Latitude as long ago as 2021, but nothing has eventuated - for VERY good reason. And the synergies with a wealth management business is even less - I mean, haven't we just witnessed the Big 4s doing a major mea culpa by exiting wealth??? Why would any non bank lender get into bed with a regulator they have no dealings with.
Just because KKR is on someone's register does NOT mean its a good fit.
