Relevant confidentiality provisions will remain for sure, but let’s not forget that he has been gone for one full year now (announced Oct 23, finished up Feb 24). There’s only so long that a general restraint can be enforced to keep him away.
Lombardo over at MUFG now too per the other thread, after a decade at Insignia, most recently as Chief Operating & Technology Officer, which to me is equally fascinating. Speculation on my part of course, but it may well be that being passed over for the CEO role when Mota left was enough for him to upsticks and take his exquisitely detailed operating knowledge of the business & tech platforms over to Insignia’s second or third largest institutional shareholder (one that continues to add to its voting stake here). MUFG will have deeper pockets than anyone currently bidding, so they could be quite a stumbling block if they so choose to be. Interesting times indeed!
