The concept might be right but poorly executed in our opinion effectively issuing shares at depressed prices and incredibly low hurdle rates without any substantiative outperformance expected are just a gift to management from the IGN shareholders who have had to put up w 10 years of statutory operating losses of over now $34m , with another $1.525m loss in 2023 under the existing board leadership tenure. Unfortunately another board disconnect at the expense of IGN shareholders.
If you really wanted to lock in management and first class recruiters ( and realise the substantial intrinsic upside value in IGN ) take the necessary hard steps to get IGN materially net profitable and restructure/ refresh the board. 2 of 3 board members have been there coming up to 10 years and financial results for those 10 years speak for themselves. Fish rot from the head down, companies are the same. 4 CEO's in 5 years - chairman Sladden still there - wth?
