Does anyone have thoughts on where Albermarle might sit following IGO's involvement in Greenbushes and the Kwinana Plant? For instance would Albermarle possibly seek to takeover IGO - thereby gaining a controlling interest in Greenbushes and also getting exposure to the Kwinana Plant. Alternatively, would they go the other direction and sell out of Greenbushes - which could present IGO with an opportunity. Or thirdly, they could be happy to stay with their existing holding. My recollection (please correct me if I'm wrong) was that Albermarle didn't get an opportunity to buy Tianqi's share of Greenbushes when it was sold to IGO. Of course there could be legal restrictions in the Lithium Holding Co structure that might impact on material changes such as takeovers and controlling interests.
Any thoughts?
