Great quote from the Sudmeister in a 2020 interview with Small Caps (link below), in reference to the IHL-42x phase 2 trial we just saw preliminary results for.
"So the actual trial that we are on the verge of commencing is a phase 2 trial, and results from this trial, should they be positive and should they give us the outcome we're looking for, may result in quite a significant improvement in market valuation of that clinical asset. It's well recognised that clinical assets which have gone through phase I and II evaluation and are effectively ready for a pivotal phase III study have a very transferrable asset value that would probably attract the interest of big pharma or another company looking to commercialise a drug in this area. We wouldn't be surprised if existing manufacturers of CPAP masks themselves feel threatened enough to probably want to take a significant interest at that point."
As we are aware the recent results came as part of a proof of concept study, with that supposed to inform a future phase II trial in the US after the IND is filed. However, that trial gives us an indication of how the future phase II results may look too given we have now seen how IHL-42x affects the trial endpoint in humans. If anything, I would think the actual phase II trials would have improved results with any learnings from the proof of concept being implemented. Future phase 2 trials for OSA will be absolutely massive for the company, and we have a very strong idea as to how it is going to go.
By the time the trial readouts are occurring for the US phase 2 OSA trials, I expect our other pipeline items would be maturing also. I would guess by that point we would be multiples of the current share price. IMO
