I wouldnt get caught up in % moves so much. Look at CUV. It can move $1.50 in a day pretty easily and fluctuate that much throughout a day.
Having less shares at a higher price does allow savvy traders the opportunity to take advantage of volatility.
I know it doesnt feel the same but the opportunity is often very similar.
