The great thing about this forum is that everyone is entitled to present an opinion. No matter how different from others opinions. Despite many presenting their opinions as fact (not necessarily you).
Some prefer to treat it as a popularity contest. Frankly I'm not at all phased if people vehemently disagree with me. The name calling and labelling that occurs likewise doesnt phase me.
I am rather cynical of 4ds leadership and have been for some time, especially since DM took over. I have been cynical of their accountability and treatment of shareholders for a long time...i think i have been shown to be fairly accurate...however id rather be rich than be right. Which brings me to your next question.
Why invest? Because as DIM has pointed out (thanks)...this is potentially generational. The assymetry, was both credible and substantial. To some degree im still aligned with this, although would prefer to resuce risk here somewhat, as ive lost serious trust in leadership (see recent credit raise debacle, conflicting message from DM and PH etc etc).
Now do I expect you or anyone else to align with this? No. Do I expect you or others to agree or try convince me otherwise. No. Its merely one opinion in a sea of opinions, all no more valid than the next.
Not sure why people are do effected by an opinion. Perhaps brings some uncomfortable questions into the bliss of willful confirmation bias.
Ultimately I hope I'm terribly wrong, and this is the 4 dollar share of old. Feel free to heap 'told you so' on me. Doesn't bother me. As i said. Rather be rich than be right.
but...id also prefer competent and shareholder facing management than the current...
