yeah in-vitro is in a test tube, so there is not (as there cannot) be reference to this being active in the gut or elsewhere. it worked in a test tube and meant the virus replicated 50-90% less - again, in the test tube. could mean anything is possible if repeatable in the body. could also mean, as you say, it's simply not repeatable in the body at all. could also mean it's only relevant to the gut or intestinal tract.
I don't know. do you? I'm just having fun speculating. I'm not an expert and nothing I say should be treated as such.
