The info was not released on NASDAQ last night,the action was chat room and disallowed traders jumping on the FDA guidance news. They will certainly jump on this Covid news too, especially if the US futures are green pre-market.
However, be aware that the SEC is placing extra scrutiny on all Covid press releases, so it's likely the stock will be halted, possibly for hours or days if it is a T2 halt. Though the news seems legit and not misleading so I think they will be fine.
If all goes well and the halts are reasonably short, it could double overnight again.
