Essentially Merck is paying peanuts. This is a zero risk equation for them and all the risk is on shareholders.
There’s no risk reduction for shareholders in this deal.running the trial. But $100 mil won’t cover it and all the other things they are doing. They will have to come back to the market again in 12 months.
