Mithrams,Completely agree (and understand the frustration!) that every company should have operations which support basic cashflow while doing other high potential future revenue activities. Happy at least now they realize it and have work to achieve some cashflow. That and the r&d funds should hopefully keep the lights on for a while. Also, There is lot of activity around privatization of coal occurring in India as we speak (do a Google search!) Which I see as a good thing as we wouldn't have to deal with lethargic Indian govt enterprises like nmdc but can potentially deal directly with private firms who would hopefully be more inclined and business focussed in achieving outcomes with the technology than long drawn out govt firms.
