There'll likely be a point where these guys can compete but the unsaid problem is BHP / OZL.
With Prom Hill + Olympic dam BHP will enjoy significant economies and processing synergies.
Going to put pressure on all the smaller guys for a while.
In a boom, of course, every pound will be sold, but in more normal times with expensive costs.....
