Like all industrial action anywhere ...it's counter-productive for all sides to let it go on for too long.
Eventually, even union members know that if you don't work you don't get paid.
One positive here is that we are still mining and this should continue this week sometime. This is important as it is the mining that is the slowest link ...processing can always catch up (especially as we become more established).
De-watering will continue as it is powered by site electricity, so that means a quick restart of operations when fuel gets back to normal.
Yes, a months supply of diesel would be sensible -we should crank that up ASAP ...but it may be hard to do right now.
Why not spend big and set up an industrial scale solar & battery generating system. I'm sure our mates over at RFX would help out.
Also, we should also be wary of wanting real wages to go down IMO, ...we want social stability.
