    The problem with WEB is that Flight Centre in June 2019 removed booking fees from flights online under the FLT banners. This compares to WEB which charges about $53 per flight booking as a service charge. WEB has to reduce or remove those surcharges to stay competitive. This would probably render the WEB OTA unprofitable.

    FLT may be using scale to lever better deals from airlines because their costs of being online would be high too. WEB spends $160 million a year on supporting the website which seems high but can only go higher if a tech arms race develops.

    Try it yourself. Go online and do some bookings.
