Was the Board really checking what Peter was presenting while he was around? Or just accepting their fees and letting him do everything?
Anybody who has spent big $ on buying big projects knew that with the Ni price at the time and the competition, this was dangerous. In my view, too dangerous as I expressed at the time. IGO had an out and didn't take it.
If you haven't made big investment decisions, don't throw rubbish at me in response to the above. If you have, I welcome your views.
I knew P very well and was very surprised with this decision.
Fact is, they were spending other people's money and had a duty to be careful. Risk vs return decisions are everything in mining.
