re: Ann: Important Information re despatch of... The board are up to something. Lord only knows what, but there is absolutely no point in asking for a delay to a target statement release if the statement is only going to say "it's a fair offer, take it" or "it's a lousy offer, spurn it".

The ONLY reason to have an extra delay before issuing this long-delayed statement is because there is something going on. A counter takeover offer? An offer from a rival company to buy out the on-ground and underground assets for cash? More news on reserves and prospects? The Christmas Fairy? Who knows? But unless the board is simply not competent to perform basic office tasks (which I do not believe) there has to be something in the works.

With the offer at 28.5, the market price at 29.0 and my cost base at 29.5, there is very little to lose now and - who knows? - perhaps something still to gain. I'm holding 'till further notice.
