Good morning Yowie, Your question about the relevance of this announcement is similar to mine.

Apart from the paperwork of filing a PCT (International) patent application - which may involve more detail than earlier patent applications (but we are not advised), I cannot discern from this statement, any advancement in the VFD commercial production of graphene oxide. No mention on the development of a commercial scale unit.

In fact the statement by Prof Raston seems to suggest there is still a way to go before commercial production is in sight.

" Professor Colin Raston, Professor in Clean Technology at Flinders University stated: “The ability to manufacture graphene oxide in a benign way has been a major challenge, and it is now a reality with the completion of an extensive programme of research. We are continuing to understand the fundamental science in the VFD, and we look forward to further improvements on the processing technology for graphene oxide, and a range of other nano-carbon and related materials.”

Your observation relating to the number of announcemnts regarding promising developments in the Aussie locale are maybe to suggest that not all the future will be centred on the UK. Interesting that triallists of FGR material in other locations overseas cannot be named, but announcements of early trials with limited data Iocally have been.

The protective layers mining appllication holds great promise, but as spid outlined, it will take around a year to determine the economic feasability.

I don't know if others noted that two of the recent announcements did not have a supporting comment from the other party involved.

The Chemiplas announcement was missing a statement from an officer of that company. That may explain the apparent incorrect statement about Chemiplast being a manufacturer of "sporting goods". Infact, industry insiders suggest that a supplier to Chemiplas is the developer of the composite, and that the manufacturer of the sporting equipment is a customer of Chemiplas.

And the last announcement on the composite for bucket linings was without any supporting statement from newGen. Maybe just symptoms of rushing to get announcements out?

It's usually better to get some professional help with these important announcements, and get it done right. FGR has not been great at the quality ot quantity of ASX announcements over quite a few years. (Apart from a few months when another director got involved). Now that they are getting close to the "big time", a little investment in PR might just help their credibility in this area.
