I see some sense to it. If I owned 5% of the company shares rather than my small holding, I would be unhappy with the current suspension and delays in financial reporting etc. I also supported the previous s249f vote going ahead as I was not happy that the company was sitting on such a large cash pile instead of returning it to shareholders.
Also how long are shareholders meant to wait for the audit to be completed? Since no timeline has been given to conduct the operational audit, I think it makes sense that a large shareholder may not be willing to wait an indefinite period of time.
It may be that other shareholders will vote differently this time given what I believe to be a negative development since the last vote.
