Thanks for providing the example however this is not the smoking gun I was hoping for. The email you attached does not clearly outline the relationship in question, at least to me - 'our company' in this context could really mean anything.
Do you have any other materials that you can share with us? (ie. the Share purchase agreement that you spoke of)
